Attorneys gather in Fort Myers to discuss Vioxx lawsuit trials (The News-Press)
About 60 attorneys from around the country gathered in a Fort Myers courtroom this morning to suggest a location and standard procedures for trials resulting from Vioxx lawsuits.
The FDA rejected Merck & Co.'s request to market a successor to its withdrawn arthritis drug Vioxx, the drugmaker said. The move was widely expected, after a panel of FDA advisors voted against approving Arcoxia by a 20-1 vote.
